Spicy Grilled Thai Chicken Wings Recipe


  • 8 chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 3 tsp. Thai chili paste
  • 1/2 tsp. fish sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cardamom
  • 2 tsp. roasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. cilantro, roughly chopped, + extra for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for garnish


  1. Heat grill to high heat. Season chicken wings with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. Grill over high heat for about 12-15 minutes total, turning about halfway through.
  2. While chicken wings are grilling, prepare sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together Thai chili paste, fish sauce, lime juice, garlic, brown sugar, cardamom, sesame seeds, and cilantro until combined.
  3. When chicken wings are finished cooking, toss in a large bowl with prepared sauce until evenly coated. Serve with lime wedges and lots of fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
